The program took place in Berlin and was open to Humanity in Action Senior Fellows, 2014 Fellows and Greek students and recent graduates. The trip took place from October 5 to 12, 2014.

Participants at this weeklong study trip explored emerging nationalist and extremist movements in Europe as well as their impact on minority groups such as immigrants, religious minorities and other marginalized groups in contemporary Europe. The program included a mix of lectures and workshops, group discussions and site visits. Participants learned from experts and eyewitnesses as well as activists.

Humanity in Action selected a total of 30 individuals to participate in the program. Fifteen participants were recruited from Greece.
