Kyra Fox is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in International Studies and Psychology with a minor in African Studies. In 2016, she lived in Gulu, Uganda where she studied post-conflict transformation after the 30-year Lord's Resistance Army conflict. While in Gulu, she conducted research on the complex victim/perpetrator status of abducted child soldiers. Currently, she is working on a senior thesis exploring the drivers of child participation in mass violence. She seeks to recognize the human causes and contextual factors that transform ordinary civilians into agents of atrocity. As a student, Kyra leads interfaith dialogue and action on campus.
